Buy One Give One

Wouldn’t it be nice if every time you bought yourself a pair of shoes or some nice clothes, you knew that someone else in the world was getting the same thing? Imagine even further. What if you knew that when you bought a menstrual cup for yourself, another cup would go to a girl who desperately needed one? That is exactly what happens when you buy a Pixie Cup.

“For women in North America, it (a menstrual cup) makes your period simple and hassle-free.
For women in developing countries, it can be a life-changing solution.”
-The Huffington Post

Pixie Cup’s Buy One Give One Program

When we first decided to design a menstrual cup that would enable women to experience period freedom, we little imagined the incredible difference that it would make in so many lives! It only took a few months of planning for us to realize that we could do so much more than provide an affordable cup to women in the United States: we could also provide FREE Pixie Cups to women across the world!

“…It is more blessed to give than to receive.” -Acts 20:35

Many women here in the United States, as well as countless women living in developing countries, cannot purchase proper sanitary products because they are too expensive or unavailable. If you thought we have period-phobia in the United States, it’s even worse for many women in other cultures. Some women are even shut in a hut or forced to stay home from work or school because of their periods. A menstrual cup allows women to live normally all month long, with the freedom that all people should be able to experience!

We are so thankful and honored to work with many non-profit organizations both here in the United States and in various countries around the world! Since we launched our Buy One Give One program in the summer of 2017, Pixie Cup has helped empower thousands of women around the globe.

Pixie Cup founder Amber English recently traveled to Tanzania, where she was able to distribute 400 menstrual cups to female leaders and teachers in rural areas.

When you purchase a Pixie Cup, you can feel good knowing that your purchase supports our Buy One Give One program and provides a woman in need with a menstrual cup through one of the above organizations.

We are so grateful for the many non-profit organizations that we work with, and we are always looking for more, all around the world! If you know of an organization that would fit our mission perfectly, please contact us and let us know!

We believe no one should have to stay home from work or school because they don’t have access to menstrual hygiene products.

A few of our partnering organizations

Generation Next

Our first partnership for our Buy One Give One menstrual cup program was through Generation Next. This non-profit organization was founded by Riley Snyder and is local to us in our hometown of Branson, Missouri. Each summer, Riley and her team take Pixie Cups and menstrual hygiene kits to Kenya and distribute them to rural communities and schools. With the help of local nurses, they host educational classes where they teach women how to use and care for their Pixie Cups.

LSU School of Medicine

We also partnered with the resident and staff physicians at the LSU SOM-New Orleans Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. We supplied them with 1,600 Pixie Cups for a pilot program they launched through the New Orleans Mission to serve homeless women in New Orleans. They took in approximately 30 women per night for eight weeks and provided them with fresh meals and bathroom facilities. Each woman received a Pixie Cup, and LSU provided free healthcare via the medical students.

I Support the Girls

Dana Marlowe founded I Support the Girls to collect and distribute bras and menstrual hygiene products. Their mission is to restore dignity and self-respect to women whether they be homeless, refugees, in transitional housing, or fleeing domestic violence. Dana distributes Pixie Cups to vetted shelters and organizations that educate women on how to use and care for their Pixie Cup.

LA Dream Center

One of our recent partnerships has been The LA Dream Center, where we are able to give 5,000 Pixie Cups every quarter. The Pixie Cups are being used by women in their residential and outreach programs, which include human trafficking rescue, emergency rescue, transitional housing for the homeless, weekly adoptive block outreaches, and more.

Convoy of Hope

We partner with Convoy of Hope, a faith-based, international, humanitarian-relief organization based in Springfield, Missouri. Convoy of Hope sends thousands of Pixie Cups to women in need here in the United States through their Rural Compassion program.
